About The Owners
Introducing the powerhouse quartet behind Sharon James Cellars – two sisters who found love with a set of best friends. In 2023, we purchased the winery from our Uncle Jim and Aunt Sharon, honoring their legacy with our namesake. Balancing thriving real estate careers with our shared passion for winemaking, we're excited to write the next chapter of Sharon James Cellars together, crafting remarkable wines and fostering unforgettable moments.
About The Founders -Aunt Sharon & Uncle Jim
Sharon James Cellars is the dream of Jim and Sharon Sciaulino. A dream they wish to share.
Both avid wine enthusiasts, Jim (retired from the auto industry) and Sharon (in the banking industry) are native northeast Ohioans with a knack for wine. The Sciaulino’s started wine making as a hobby at home in 2004 after years of sampling Ohio wines and traveling on many of the state’s trails. Wine making soon became much more than a hobby and more a way of life. Homemade wine was shared regularly with friends, family, and neighbors at parties and events. And the wine was good.
In 2009 Jim and Sharon decided it was time to chase their true dream of wine making. They planted a vineyard on their property in Mantua and started looking for a building to purchase for a future winery. In February 2011, they purchased the old White Horse Inn building in Newbury and started renovation. After months of saws, hammers, and of course some wine, Jim and Sharon were set to open their dream of Sharon James Cellars.
Jim and Sharon have been married 40+ years and reside in Roaming Shore, Ohio. Come into Sharon James Cellars today and share their dream.
